M-class Flares (R1-R2; Minor-Moderate) Events Remain Likely 13-15 Feb

13-15 Feb 2023 Flare Forecast
M-class Flares (R1-R2; Minor-Moderate) Events Remain Likely 13-15 Feb
published: Sunday, February 19, 2023 04:41 UTC

A likelihood of M-class flares (R1-R2; Minor-Moderate HF radio blackouts) continues 13-15 February, 2023. A number of sunspot groups are present on the visible solar disk and the combined flare potential of several of these regions keeps a continuing probability of additional M-class flares. Occasional M-class flares have taken place the past few days, to include an X1 (R3; Strong) event on 11 February. Continue to follow our SWPC webpage for the latest information and forecasts.
