G3 (Strong) or Greater Geomagnetic storms expected

Strong (G3) geomagnetic storms or greater are expected as the impacts from todays shock continue.  The interplanetary shock arrived at the ACE spacecraft at 0405 UTC (12:05 a.m. EDT) and at Earth a half hour later.  These disturbed geomagnetic conditions are expected to continue for the next several hours.
