G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic Storm Watch for 28-29 August

G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic Storm Watch for 28-29 August
published: Tuesday, August 30, 2022 14:16 UTC

A CME was observed emerging from the SW limb near 27/0224 UTC in NASA C2 coronagraph imagery. This CME is associated with an M4.8 flare from Region 3088 that peaked at 27/0240 UTC. Analysis and modeling suggests that a glancing component is likely to arrive at Earth late on 28 Aug into 29 Aug.
